Pine sawhorses for any workshop made using hand tools, hide glue and traditional forged nails. Forged nails square, tapered shafts provide phenomenal holding power, many times that of a modern nail & the broad head provides further purchase to secure & tighten up the joint.
These sawhorses are based on the woodworker Megan Fitzpatrick’s design and include her use of forged nails. Thanks Megan. The nails here are made by Clouterie Rivierre in Creil, France as they have been since 1888.
These horses are made at the traditional low height to assist in hand sawing. One is wider with a v-notch and the second is narrower without.
They are available individually, as a pair and with or without 19mm dog holes for use with bench hooks/dogs.
Wide horse with v-notch = H=542mm L=815mm W=158mm
Narrow horse = H=542mm L=815mm W=91mm
